Sophie T. Brzezinski, 97, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Arbors Care Center in Manchester. Born and raised in Queens, NY, she moved to Whiting in 1978. Sophie was an office worker for NY Bell in New York City, NY for 28 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Women's Club of Crestwood Village VII and the American Polish Club of Whiting. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Edward S. Brzezinski in 1992 and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by four nieces and nephews, Gregory Konczynin, Maria Hughes (nee) Konczynin, Elizabeth Ehlen (nee) Konczynin and Claudia Armendinger (nee) Konczynin; nine great nieces and nephews and three great, great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 3rd from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Entombment will be at Whiting Memorial Park.
