Steven R. Gwozdik, 73, of Whiting passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at home.

Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington and Maplewood before settling in Whiting in 2021.

Mr. Gwozdik was a longtime employee of the NJ Department of Transportation Highway

Division, where he did highway construction. He later worked for the South Orange

Department of Public Works. A "People Person", he was an avid and lifelong fan of the

Green Bay Packers and Boston Celtics.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Steven, Jonathan, and Stephanie; and his

grandchildren, Declan and Vivienne. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilhem and

Grace, stepmother Aurelia and by his twin brother Michael, niece Kristy, and

grandnephew Patrick.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Manchester Memorial

Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Funeral service will be held at noon

followed by a repass at Crestwood Village "Friendship Hall", 92 Fairway Lane, Whiting.
