Tessie Haligowski, 93, of Whiting, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at home. She was born and raised in Elizabeth and lived in Linden before moving to Whiting in 1980. Tessie was a stock clerk for Airtron Company in Linden and also worked for Phelps Dodge in Elizabeth. She was a member of the Polish American Club of Whiting and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Carol "Al" in 2011 and her granddaughter, Laura in 2006. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Edward Conway of Farmingdale; one grandson, Joseph Conway and his wife, Kimberly, one granddaughter, Kathleen Conway and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3rd and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m., at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Entombment will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
