Theodore Hospes, Jr., 73, of Whiting, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Cranford and Brick for 42 years, before moving to Whiting in 2008. Mr. Hospes was an employee of Torwico, Lakewood, before retiring. He was in the National Guard and was a US Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He loved sports, especially baseball. He was a loving husband and father. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Patricia; three children and their spouses, Kathy & Jim Huff of Lakewood, Mark & Jane Hospes of Manchester and Robyn & Joe Piwowarski of Forked River; two brothers, Alan Hospes of Kenilworth and Ron Harper of Manchester and two grandchildren, T. J. and Iain Hospes. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Aaron Cremation Associates, Inc., 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 2550 US Highway 1 North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
