Theresa A. Rieder, 99, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at Whiting Health Care Center. Born in South Orange, NJ, she lived in Philadelphia, PA and North Brunswick, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1976. Theresa was a registered nurse at Germantown Hospital. She was a 2nd Lieutenant for the Army Nurse Corps. She also worked for the 50th Ward Ambulance service in Philadelphia and was a school nurse in North Brunswick. She was a member of the Residents Club, Women's Club, Bowling Group, Shuffle Board Club and Bocci Club of Crestwood Village 4. Theresa was a communicant and parish nurse of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, Michael Rieder in 1994. She is survived by two children, Bettyann Rieder of Whiting and Dr. Michael J. Rieder of Philadelphia, PA and two grandchildren, Dr. Evan Rieder and Casey Rieder, both, of New York City. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Saturday, August 12th at 9:00 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
