Veronica Ann Konecny, 88, of Whiting, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at home. Born in Cumbola, PA, she lived in Elizabeth and Roselle before moving to Whiting 23 years ago. Veronica was a factory worker at Thomas & Betts in Elizabeth for 15 years, retiring in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Veronica was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Joseph J. Konecny in May of 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanine Konecny of Roselle; two sisters, Mary Cistrelli of Palm Coast, FL and Kathleen (Sissy) Yenelavage of Cumbola, PA and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, December 1st from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
