Violet M.
Loveman
February 13, 1929 – September 15, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Violet Loveman (nee Vanyo), 95, who passed away at CMC on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Born on February 13, 1929, Violet grew up in Garfield, NJ, and later lived and worked in Lakewood and Toms River before moving to Wantage, NJ, where she lived for over 33 years in the beautiful home she shared with her loving partner, Joseph A. Steliga. Following Joseph's death, Violet moved into Pines Village Assisted Living in Whiting, NJ, where she established herself as an outgoing and productive member of their community.
Violet was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Andrew Vanyo; devoted partner, Joseph Steliga; brother Kenneth Vanyo & his wife Phyllis; her daughter, Linda Lee; and son, William Menardi. She leaves behind her daughter, Diane Boyle, and husband Michael; son, Myles Menardi and wife Julie; sister, Toni Vanyo; nephews Alan Vanyo and his partner Nora; and John Vanyo and his wife, Toni; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; as well as her many loving and caring friends.
Violet was a kind and generous person who always stood up for the underdog.
Her vibrant personality and cheerful smile could light up a room. She was an avid reader; enjoyed doing crossword puzzles; and had a special talent for writing wonderful true stories about her life and special memories. Violet loved her plants and flowers and surrounded herself with their beauty.
Violet enjoyed singing Patsy Cline songs to her grandchildren when they were
young and later Elvis gospel music became her favorite. Although, she always had a hidden desire to play the drums.
Violet's greatest joy was spending time with family.
Violet's wishes were to be cremated.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
