Violet Mitchel, 93, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Bey Lea Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Toms River. Born in Paisley, Scotland, she lived in North Arlington, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2011. Violet was a member of the Royal Air Force of Scotland for two years. She worked for Rolls Royce for four years. She was predeceased by her husband William Mitchell in 2006. She is survived by two children, Patricia Nigro and her husband, Warren of Whiting and William Mitchell and his wife, Barbara of Florida; two sisters, Theresa Hastie of Scotland and Mary Dale od England; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, July 26th at 10:30 a.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
