Virginia "Ginger" Kirby, 62, of Toms River passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at home. Born in South Amboy, she grew up in Sayreville and has lived in Toms River since 1985.

Ginger worked as a highly regarded Administrative Assistant throughout her 35 year career, most recently for Cowan and Gunteski/CG Tax, Audit, Advisory, Tinton Falls. A 1978 graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School, she was an active member of the Toms River Elks Lodge and enjoyed making stained glass. She enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren and hanging out with her special group of girlfriends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Dorothy (Jung) Malaspina, and her siblings, John, James, Steven and Victoria Malaspina and Barbara Pritchard. She is survived by her children, Samantha Kirby-Randall and her husband Paul of Manahawkin, and Jake Kirby and his wife Allison of Manassas, VA; two grandchildren, Hailey Kirby and Jack Randall; and her siblings, Susan Ferro, Loretta Liyana, and Janet, Roy and Richard Malaspina.

Cremation was private. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9-11am at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
