In the company of her family and friends, Visitacion Marinas entered eternal life on February 10, 2023 at 12:30pm. Her final days illuminated the fingerprints left on the lives she touched. Her daughters recounted how their parents would regularly host family and friends for large gatherings in the Philippines. Visitacion would spend all day cooking in preparation and delight in the company of those she loved. Her grandchildren laughed while reminiscing on all the lessons they learned from her, usually in the form of an airborne slipper launched in their direction. Her friends praised her devotion to God and the Church of Christ community. She was always sure to attend service even while traveling on vacation. Together, these stories spoke to a life that was unburdened by excess, but that was celebrated by others for its peaceful simplicity.

Visitacion Marinas is survived by her four daughters, Lourdes, Paz, Deborah, and Girlie; her son, Mark; her sister, Pat; and several adoring grandchildren, Leng, Michael, Sara, Ojhay, Joshua, Jason, Gabriel, Brent, Ysabella, Jersey, and Tyler; and great-grandchildren. Let us all share in her example of loving the small things we are given and the people in our lives with whom we are truly blessed.

A viewing for those who wish to pay their respects will be held at Manchester Funeral Home in Whiting, New Jersey from 12pm to 3pm on February 12, 2023.
