Walter Lapinski, 87, of Crestwood Manor in Whiting, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012. He was born in New York City, NY. He moved to Whiting in 1989 where he lived in Crestwood VIllage 3. Walter was a Printer for Whitehall Press in New York City, NY for 35 years before retiring. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Whiting. He was a member of the Village 3 Fishing Club and Residents Club. He also delivered Meals on Wheels for 5 years. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. Walter is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret; one daughter and son-in-law of Dumont, NJ, Joan and Daniel Paolantonio; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Frances Lapinski of Ormond Beach, FL and one grandchild.
