William J. Alvarez, 80, of Whiting, NJ passed away Wednesday January 12, 2011 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. William resided in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Whiting, NJ. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Union County Sheriffs Officer. William was the IAM Local 315 Union President for 12 years William is survived by his wife Elizabeth of 37 years; daughter, Karen and her husband Tom Taylor; two grandchildren, Kyle and Alex Taylor.
