Obituary

WILLIAM A. CREED, 76, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, NJ, formerly of Sparks, MD, passed away Thursday, March 20, at Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. Born in South Amboy, NJ, he lived in Beachwood, NJ and Sparks, MD before moving to Whiting seven years ago. Mr. Creed was a Teacher in the Jackson School District for many years, retiring in 1994. He served in the US Army and was a Baseball Pitcher for the Army while serving in Japan. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and taught Bible Class at the church. He was predeceased by his son, Tommy. He and his wife, Carol, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in June 2007. He is survived by his wife, Carol; nine children; one brother, Joe Creed of South Amboy; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A funeral liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. from the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
