William J. Farrell, 91, of Whiting, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at AristaCare at Whiting in Whiting, NJ. Born in Manhattan, NY, he lived in Cliffside Park, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2001. Bill worked for Cliffside Park Housing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill was a member of the Elks and American Legion and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Cliffside Park Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary A. Farrell; a sister, Joan Nicholeson of Oregon; a niece, Jennifer Brandenburg and a nephew, Ronald "Buddy" Forbes. Visitation will be Monday, Jan 27th from 2-5 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 28th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
