William Joseph Rasmussen, 87, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Queens, NY before moving to Whiting 20 years ago. William was a stock trader on Wall Street in New York City, NY. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ida Rasmussen and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 13th from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Friday, Aug. 14th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
