William O. Shinkowitz, 81, of Whiting, died peacefully at Community Medical Center surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, PA he lived most of his life in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Whiting in 1994. He was a production worker for the Rohm and Haas Co. in Philadelphia, PA for 35 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in 2006 and is survived by his son, William A. of Whiting and a daughter, Ann Brennan of Havertown, PA; one sister, Margaret Donaghy of Philadelphia, PA; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, Feb. 20th at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m., at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
