Yvonne Bailey, 82, of Whiting, NJ passed the evening of January 26, 2026 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Yvonne was born in New York City to parents Joseph and America (nee Maldonado) Boudreau. She grew up in New Milford, NJ, and after marrying her high school sweetheart Tom, moved to Bayville, NJ. They lived there from 1972 – 2001 where they held countless pool parties for the extended family. Yvonne "Aunt Peach" would cook, laugh, and afterwards wash dozens of towels. For the last twenty-five years they've lived in the Meadows in Whiting, NJ.

Yvonne was a loyal employee of Berkeley Township for twenty-five years until her retirement in 2000. After retirement she volunteered for Somebody Cares, and she and Tom traveled throughout the country. She loved to cook and craft, made beautiful macrame and sand paintings, solved puzzles on the computer and on "Wheel of Fortune," and guessed the questions on "Jeopardy".

She lived a life of gratitude and kindness and will be remembered for her infectious smile, her trusted advice offered only when asked for, and her ability to, when called on the phone at dinnertime, guide a confused cook through steps that would turn a kitchen disaster into a delicious meal. Her recipes will live on.

Yvonne is survived by her husband Thomas, her children Michael (Jennifer) Bailey of Haddon Heights, NJ and Nicole "Niki" (George) Hofmann of Philadelphia, PA; her grandchildren, Julia and Noelle (who called her "Abba"); her sister Rosemarie Skelly of Sarasota, FL; her brother, Joseph Boudreau of Jacksonville, FL; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on February 21st from 12 noon to 2 PM at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road in Whiting, NJ 08759. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Somebody Cares of Whiting or your favorite charity.
